Our family story would not be whole or complete if we did not include the births of our two biological children. Three months after adopting Coyer, we found out we were pregnant and due that coming May. I had a very healthy pregnancy and on May 8, 2009, I gave birth to our second son, Kedren John. He was the spitting image of his father. Since day one, Coyer and Kedren have been best friends. They do everything together! The most amazing part about watching them, is seeing how close their bond is regardless of their genes. Being brothers is not about blood or looks to them. Most days, I don't even think they realize they look nothing alike. They are both just proud that they have brown eyes. 😉 Kedren is not only the spitting image of his father but has an almost identical personality. It's too bad for him that I typically know what he's thinking without him even telling me. One look and I know. He can thank his father for that one😉 He is our spunky, brave, daring, snuggly, emotional, affectionate child. He knows how to melt my heart like his father. I grew up in a house of 6 girls, so when God gave me two boys I didn't know what to expect. I look back at how God orchestrated our family and I'm so thankful that he blessed me with these two. He knew they would need each other and that we would need them. He knew they would be best friends. He knew that Coyer was meant to have a younger brother to teach and love. We wouldn't to have it any other way. At this point in our life, we were content. We spent the next three years being a family of four, until God spoke to our hearts once again.
